Women In Film encourages filmmaking innovation through two unique competitions: the WIF LMN Student Filmmaker Competition and the WIF MORE Magazine Film Contest.

Independent Film Series

The Independent Film Series is one of the most popular membership benefits WIF has to offer. WIF screens members’ feature films, documentaries and shorts – free of charge - at the new Landmark Theatre on Pico Boulevard in West Los Angeles.

Every year, WIF works with the Fulfillment Fund, whose mission is to help promising, yet educationally underserved and economically disadvantaged students achieve higher education. WIF is currently accepting applications from companies who would like to hire Fulfillment Fund Interns for the summer.

Master Classes

Women In Film Master Classes present a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from the best in the business. Master classes are characterized by an intimate atmosphere with an emphasis on audience participation and hands-on learning for members with all levels of experience.

The mission of the Women In Film Mentoring Program is to nurture emerging talent in the entertainment industry.

This program allows young men & women the opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of the inner workings of the entertainment industry while also gaining hands-on experience.

Networking Breakfasts

WIF Networking Breakfasts are immensely popular, as they allow attendees to interact with our special guests, WIF members and WIF program chairs in a friendly and social atmosphere. Many members have gone on to successfully collaborate on projects or advance in their profession through the contacts they’ve made at Women In Film events.

PSA Production Program

Each year, the PSA Production Program chooses four to five charities for which they will produce a PSA. The PSAs are produced and distributed by Women In Film Members. A fundamental principle of the program is that everyone that works on the PSA’s donates their time, talent and services. No one gets paid in dollars – only in good feelings and great experiences!

The Women In Film Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships to female students based on their academic standing, artistic talents and commitment to a film-based curriculum with special consideration for financial need, regardless of age, ethnicity or religious affiliation. We recognize the need to develop pathways and opportunities for current and future generations and is committed to fostering academic achievement.

Speaker Series

The WIF Speaker Series features talks from some of the most interesting and accomplished professionals in our industry. The event allows attendees to benefit from the knowledge and experience of our distinguished speakers, as well as network and socialize with fellow WIF members in an exclusive atmosphere.

WIF International

the WIF International Committee is committed to fostering an interactive and cultural bond with other countries by discovering, promoting and supporting the ideas and efforts of entertainment professionals (especially women) throughout the world.

WIF Workshops provide an interactive and dynamic experience by engaging attendees in hands-on practical training in various fields of filmmaking. Current workshops include the Actors Group, Page-to-Screen Workshop and the Valley Writers Group.
