WOMEN IN FILM, LOS ANGELES ANNOUNCES 2014 CRYSTAL + LUCY AWARDS® HONOREES:

The Annual Benefit Gala will take place on Wednesday, June 11 at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza

Los Angeles, CA, (March 31, 2014) - Since 1977, Women In Film, Los Angeles has annually honored exemplary women in the entertainment industry – women who lead by example, who are creative, groundbreaking, and who excel at their chosen fields. This year’s Crystal + Lucy Awards® fundraising dinner, in support of WIF LA’s many educational and philanthropic programs and initiatives, is being held on Wednesday, June 11 in the Los Angeles Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City.

THE WOMEN IN FILM FOUNDATION OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR 2014 FILM FINISHING FUND GRANTS

Los Angeles.....Applications are now being accepted for the Women In Film Foundation’s 2014 Film Finishing Fund grants.  The application period runs through June 6, 2014.  Winners will be announced in October 2014.

Women In Film will give up to $15,000 in cash, in-kind and consultation grants for the selected entries. Women In Film International is making a great contribution for the 2014 grant cycle.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 19, 2014 – PARK CITY

WHAT:
Women In Film (WIF), the leading non-profit organization dedicated to women in the global entertainment industry, celebrates ten years of partnership with the Sundance Institute, and will present its eighth annual filmmakers’ panel discussion at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.  Featuring select female filmmakers with both narrative and documentary films at the festival, this year’s panel subject is “Truth Be Told,” and will explore how filmmakers find truth in their work and how they choose to share it with an audience.  Producer Lucy Webb will introduce the panel and moderate the discussion.

LOS ANGELES, CA, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 – The Women In Film Foundation’s Film Finishing Fund co-chairs Betsy Pollock and Nancy Rae Stone announced today the recipients of the 28th annual Film Finishing Fund grant program.  Over 113 feature-length narrative films, documentaries and shorts were submitted from around the world.

Los Angeles, CA, June 12, 2013…..Women In Film, Los Angeles has annually honored exemplary women in the entertainment industry – women who lead by example, who are creative, groundbreaking, and who excel at their chosen fields. This year’s Crystal + Lucy Awards® fundraising dinner, in support of WIF LA’s many educational and philanthropic programs and initiatives, is being held on Wednesday, June 12 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel.  This year’s theme, Close Up, celebrates Women In Film, Los Angeles’ 40th Anniversary and will take a close look at the organization’s history and accomplishments, focusing on where women are in the media industries today and examining exactly what WIF needs to do, directionally and programmatically, to be a vital voice in all industry discussions, especially where gender parity is concerned.

This year’s Crystal + Lucy Award® honorees are:
