WIF IN PARK CITY 2010

wifpanel02-webWomen In Film hosted its fourth annual filmmakers panel discussion at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, January 24, 2010.  This year’s panel, “Choosing Artistic Freedom: How Singular Vision Can Lead to Heroic Filmmaking” featured select female filmmakers with both narrative and documentary films at the festival. Women In Film was proud to include two very special award presentations during the annual event, the first with support from the National Geographic All Roads Film Project.

grant_winners02_webThe Women In Film/National Geographic All Roads Film Grant was established to recognize and award a deserving female documentarian in the Sundance Film Festival Program.  This year's $5,000 award went to Director Jennifer Arnold and Producer/Director of Photography Patti Lee for their work on A Small Act, which is in the feature-length documentary competition at this year’s festival.

grant_winners04_sno_angel-wFor the second consecutive year, The Incentives Office joined Women In Film to present the Women In Film/The Incentives Office Grant to a female director in the Sundance Film Festival Shorts Program.   A jury of WIF educators, filmmakers and artists chose filmmaker J.J. With this grant, Adler takes home $5,000 from The Incentives Office, 5,000 feet of motion picture film stock from Eastman Kodak and 5,000 feet of development and HD Dailies from Technicolor.  Dama Claire, filmmaker and Production Executive at The Incentives Office joined Lucy Webb, WIF Sundance Chair and moderator of today’s panel for this very special presentation.
