WIFI SIGNATURE EVENTS

WIFI SHORT SERIES

Each year A Focus on International Short Films will feature short films by filmmakers from different parts of the world. We will explore new cultures (e.g., Mexico, China, Africa, India, etc.) and the role of their histories and communities in influencing artists and filmmaker.

WIFI AFM PANEL
For over the past 10 years the American Film Market has asked WIFI to produce a seminar during the film market. Each year the committee selects a topic that is relevant, trend setting and diverse to help understand the constant changes in the entertainment industry. The WIFI seminars are extremely popular and are generally sold out.

WIFI LEGAL SERIES
An ongoing legal series to understand entertainment related issues both domestically and internationally. This event is hosted at the law office of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP.

WIFI TRAVEL SERIES
WIFI is looking to our global communities in order to broaden our horizons both personally and professionally. This will be an opportunity to explore and build relationships outside of our own borders

WIFI FEATURE SERIES
Recognizing the value of global exploration, WIFI will be screening films by and about women relating to the international community.

WIFI OUTREACH TO FILM FESTIVALS
WIFI looks to find opportunities in the various international film festivals right here in the Los Angeles area. This is our way to connect with the voices from other countries and the diverse communities living in our area. It is our way to support and promote the diversity of filmmakers all over the world.

WIFI SOCIAL OUTING
WIFI is comprised of work and fun! Our social events are for a chance for WIFI committee members to socialize and have a great time. We have an annual Holiday Party at a WIFI member’s home as well as potluck socials and other fun events and are open to other suggestions.
