WESTGLEN GIFT PROPELS WOMEN IN FILM’S PUBLIC SERVICE EFFORTS

dsrtf-psa-photo01WestGlen Communications, Inc.’s (WestGlen) fourth annual “Give Back” campaign has awarded Women In Film, Los Angeles’ PSA Production Program a free satellite feed, with full national notification to over 1,000 television stations, of the program’s pro bono public service announcements (PSAs) produced for the Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation (DSRTF) and Operation Gratitude.

FFF Winner, Crime After Crime - Honored

crime_after_crimeCrime After Crime, winner of one of the Women In Film Foundation's 2010 Film Finishing Fund Grants has won the 2012 Robert F. Kennedy Award for US Television Journalism!  This prestigious award brings attention to the film and raises the profile of the issues it documents. 

We congratulate producer-director-editor Yoav Potash, the rest of the production team and the documentary's subject, Deborah Peagler.

PSA Program 2013 Applications are Available

wif-psa-registered-logo Submission materials for 501(c)(3) organizations applying for 2013 WIF PSAs are now available.  CLICK HERE to download.

Each year, the award-winning PSA Production Program selects four to five charity organizations from throughout the nation to receive a pro bono PSA.

The Women In Film Public Service Announcement Production Program brings together Hollywood talent who donate their time and resources to promote organizations that improve the lives of women and children. From creation to distribution, Women In Film members hone their craft by helping charities which otherwise would have no way to publicize their services.  CLICK HERE for more information on the program.

FFF Winner, Crime After Crime - Feted Again

crime_after_crimeCrime After Crime, one of the Women In Film Foundation's 2010 Film Finishing Fund Grant has won the 2012 Hillman Prize in Broadcast Journalism!  This prestigious award brings attention to the film and raises the profile of the issues it documents.  Crime After Crime beat out Anderson Cooper (CNN) among others this year, and past winners of this award include Spike Lee (HBO), Bill Moyers (PBS), Ed Bradley (CBS/60 Minutes), and Brian Ross (ABC).
