Janet Daily
Janet has been a marketing and publicity professional for over 20 years. She was a Publicity Consultant for OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. In addition to the network launch she worked on programs including “Season 25: Oprah Behind The Scenes”, “Oprah Presents: Master Class and “Becoming Chaz”.
At Warner Bros. Studios Janet oversaw international publicity for series including “The Mentalist,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and “Chuck.” She also coordinated publicity for international field offices; arranged set visits for visiting foreign journalists, organized HFPA sessions for Simon Baker (“The Mentalist”) and the cast of “The Big Bang Theory”.
For NBC/Universal Television Janet’s projects included “Life”, “Heroes”, “Friday Night Lights”, “The Office” and “30 Rock”. She managed Emmy publicity campaigns and oversaw efforts for mid-season series and pilots. She also developed the Golden Globe campaign for the USA mini-series “The Starter Wife”.
Janet was a Unit Publicist for “Desperate Housewives” and “Everybody Loves Raymond” where she was twice nominated for the Publicists Guild Maxwell Weinberg Showmanship Award.
As Director of Publicity for CBS Entertainment Janet ran campaigns for programs including “Cosby”, “The King of Queens” and “Chicago Hope” where she was alsonominated for the Publicists Guild Maxwell Weinberg Showmanship Award.
In Chicago, Janet was the Marketing Director for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, the largest Chicago-based independent restaurant and entertainment chain.
Janet was also the Assistant Director at Illinois Film Office where she coordinated all film, television and commercial production shot on location in Chicago and its environs. She designed and edited the award-winning photo book, Illinois On Location, a compilation of the state’s best photographers' and writers' interpretations of Illinois.
Janet is a Communications Consultant for The Alliance For Children’s Rights and a Board Member at FOCUS, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. She graduated summa cum laude from Saint Mary’s College at Notre Dame with a B.A. in English Literature.
